                                In the Shadows
                                                                     ~by  Maggie
My hope in writing and sharing this book is that it will inspire!  Many of the writing grew out of my thoughts about the state of our world, country and families.
Recently, the days leading up to and following the election in our country this year, caused many feelings to become passionate!  They have been the seeds to the writings in this book.

I have a strong belief in journaling.  I believe that it can be very therapeutic.  When our emotions cause us to react, writing can give us an excellent calming effect.  That is why, I have offered a blank page randomly throughout the book for you to share your thoughts.

My hope is, that even one of the poems, stories, or essays in the book with inspire you to think and respond.

Sincerely,
Maggie Logan

                He

Every culture believes He exists, this superpower who is larger than Love, greater than Life itself.  His thoughts are not our thoughts, his works are not ours.  We are his creation, and the winds whisper it, the birds sing of it…..lo people try to know it but it is a mystery.

We are drawn to His existence and power as we need
His normal,
His rhythm,
His beauty,
and His life.

He has given us some of his secrets, but we are but mortals.   We have the will to question and to learn, but are we willing to submit to tolerance and mercy?
Are we willing to admit that we are weak and He is strong?

He is.
He loves.
He rescues and he nourishes.
He comes to us when we need Him.
He is perfect like the winds of the sea,
the rising of the sun,
and the softness of the sand.
He makes the flowers bloom and rain fall.
He is power.
He is life.

Our Women, Our Stories

None of us today knew this courageous woman, Michaelina (Ignatowicz) Pajaczck.  We know that she was a woman of small stature, who spoke heavy Polish, and was an kind ‘bacia,’ but we can get a better glimpse of her by her actions and by pondering the women that followed her.
