It was a foggy, wet afternoon as the tour bus made its way along the most northern coast of the Ireland Isle. I sat with my daughter and her new husband nudging the bus driver to make the stop
at the Dunluce Castle.
"I'm writing a book! I came all this way to see the castle...."
Finally he relented much to the chagrin of the other travelers.
I was the only one who got out of the bus.
"You can have 15 minutes....then we will leave...." I literally ran to the entrance of the visitor entrance. It was closed!!! I have never trespassed in my life....but, really. how often would I be traveling THIS road again?
I ducked under the gate and disappeared into the castle walls...the flag stoned floors the beautiful interior of the castle ruins. It seemed the farther I went the more there was to see....until I looked out of one of the tale stone windows I saw the cold waves of the sea in the distance. My heart burst with wonder..tears came to my eyes.....So many years I have written of the castle and this magical place...sighs. Someday I want to return. Someday when I can take my notebook and write there. <3

Our Women, Our Stories

None of us today knew this courageous woman, Michaelina (Ignatowicz) Pajaczck.  We know that she was a woman of small stature, who spoke heavy Polish, and was an kind ‘bacia,’ but we can get a better glimpse of her by her actions and by pondering the women that followed her.
