Years ago, I used to write with a group of friends in a Camelot group.  We would decide on a plot and then each of us took on a character.  Those were, for example, Merlin, King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Sir Gawain, Sir Lancelot, Sir Tristan and Isolde.  As you might have guessed my character and still is Isolde.  This was really how I developed a love
for reading and writing the Medieval Time Period.

Since then we have all written in other realms, such as: Lord of the Rings, Vikings, Marvel, and Greek mythology.  Recently, one of my dear friends, the one who wrote for Merlin (and still does) and I decided to start a group of Camelot again.  This was inspired by the new book that is out now, “The Great Book of King Arthur & His Knights of the Round Table” by John Matthews.  Are there books that you have read that have inspired you to write.  Share them with us……

Autumn beckons Writers

As the morning creeps quietly into noon, the squirrel hops anxiously from root to tree searching for treasures.  Shadows begin to move
into my stoned gardens.   It is autumn.
For many of us, it is evident, how real the connection between nature, culture and writing are for me.  Nothing ignites my muse like the smell of the earth, the sight of the changing plants and the sounds of creation.

As we tell the tales of people from long ago or create fantasies and diaries of characters of today and tomorrow……we have places outside our walls that trigger imagination.  When I write of Isolde and Tristan it is the ocean.
In many ways, the sea has become my heart and therefore fertile soil for my passions in writing.

Where are the places in nature that trigger your thoughts?  Tell us here where you want to go when you feel free and alive.  Or post a picture that would suggest that elusive place!
