Do you Create?

It is so energizing, satisfying to get an idea and then be so inspired at that moment to create!  Sometimes it happens that way because of something we have seen or heard.  It is an amazing feeling.  But, also there are those times when we have an idea that needs to be grown...that we must nurture and patiently wait for.

I have read many books about my favorite Irish
Goddess, Brigid.  Recently, I returned to a book
which has been on my shelf for quite sometime.
In the fourth chapter of her book, Brigid,  Courtney Weber discusses the bards of Ireland, and how Brigid is the ultimate poet who inspires.  Weber confesses her own journey as the author of the book and how it took much determination, patience and perseverance to produce it.
Maybe it is because of my new endeavor; retelling Irish myth, or maybe it is because Brigid’s feast day is right around the corner…..but I have realized this process, this journey to create~ is often required to celebrate a final product.  It is learning, researching…going down multiple “rabbit holes” and journaling, rearranging, going through ritual and 'coddling' my muse….that finally brings forth the writing to a final place.  If you create, share some ways you are inspired……

In medieval Ireland people still followed the pagan
rituals and customs, even as Christianity was being introduced as monks and priests from Europe were immigrating.  My new book, "Waves of Light" is the story of how Isolde meets a young priest, a woman, named Brigid after the beloved Goddess Brigid of the ancient tribe, Tuatha de Danaan.  February 1 is her feast day.  Many of the same issues we are facing today; such as immigration and religion are dealt with in this story.  Share here your thoughts about how history repeats its self and how we can learn from it.  OR share what's on your mind....I'd love to hear from you!
